Experimenting

As you will gather, as you visit my blog, I love to try out new techniques and ideas.
This is a pulley card and as the proto-type, I am quite pleased with the results. I think this will remain a design I use for special requests and family birthdays and anniversaries.
It was great fun to make, especially when it worked!!! Such a Primary School Teacher. LOL!

Made from a 6x6

Tried these cute little goodie bags from an idea I saw on YouTube, from www.frenchiestamps.com
They are perfect for little gifts, using up scraps(which we all have loads of) and one piece of 6"x6"(15x15) Bonus - they hardly take up any room. You can easily pop a lip balm or little chocolate in for a small and original gift. Possibilities are endless!

Meow, meow!

This weekend was time to play with the cats - lots of fun.
Don't know what the Animal Anti-Cruelty league would say to purple and pink cats!
Coloured kitties with watercolour pencils and added lots of glitter!
Cat with cello, more practice with the Copics.

More new with old

I had some unexpected free time on the weekend - accounts took less time than I expected so I played with some more of my old stamps. Quite pleased with the results!

Rescued from the back of the drawer!

Sometimes old toys get discarded for the new! That's a shame and maybe a sign that we have too much! I found this little stamp the other day - one of the first I bought and very well-used, but very neglected the last few years, so I decided to use it to practise with my Copics as I still have a long way to go. I am still having such fun with the papers that Stefanie Semple gave me. Thank you so much for your generosity!

A bit of fun!

Last Friday was pouring with rain and really cold but 2 friends braved the weather to make cards with me! They produced such lovely results and we had a great time together!
The shield on this card was a "mistake" which one of them left behind so I decided to have a little play and this was the result! Hope you like it! Thanks for dropping in to visit Celebration cards!

The image is from the boxed Hero Arts set, cat portraits, which I have had for a long time and used several times and in different ways! The pink shield is embossed with Cuttlebug swiss dots which is one of my most used embossing folders and the rest is bits and pieces. For a change I went back to watercolour pencils for the shading - so different from using Copics.
Have a great day everyone.

Something different

If you have had enough of flowers and enough of the cuties, how about these for a change?

Latest Africa design

Here is the latest of my recent Africa themed cards. Onto something girlish now.

One for the boys!

I had an order for this one and was very pleased with the outcome. I just love working with Copics and LOTV stamps. I also liked the way the scalloped oval fit so perfectly below the oval. These craft equipment manufacturers are so clever! I am definitely going to be making some more of these.

Holiday playing!

It has been such fun to play around with colours and designs this last week as I am on school holiday!
Next week is going to be really busy organising the new classroom Whoopee! Can't believe it is finally going to happen. Anyway, I might not get so much creative time.
Here are 5 different versions of the same print which I bought from Charmaine's Cards.  It always amazes me what a few different colours and designs can do to the same basic print! I have also played around a bit with some dies I bought this week - similar to Nestabilities but locally made so the price suits my pocket!
